Mon, 21 April 2008 Hi Everyone,
I'm finally back with a new show for you. On the show, I give you an update on what's been happening to me because it's been very busy since I came back to Korea. Sorry it's taken so long to record a new show. But thank you so much for listening.
Let me know if you have any questions or comments. Thanks again. Comments[7] |
Fri, 9 November 2007 Hi there, Well, I'm finally back in Korea after traveling for the last 10 months. I'm sorry that I wasn't able to record any shows for such a long time. I've had major computer troubles and it was almost impossible to use the Internet while in Europe. My computer's hard drive completely died so there was no way to record or do anything with it. I will hopefully have it fixed soon so that I can continue to record the show for you. Meanwhile, I had a great time in Europe for the last 6 weeks. It was a hard trip, but one that I'll always remember. I'll be sharing some of my stories with you once I start recording again. Thanks for understanding and hope that you'll continue to support the show. All the best, Carl Category: general -- posted at: 11:56 AM Comments[9] |
Wed, 10 October 2007 Hello from London,
We arrived in England a couple of days ago and it's been great. The weather isn't too nice, but it's sunny today.
I've been surprised by how expensive everything is. It's about double what I'm used to paying in Vancouver or Seoul. Its also more expensive than Germany and France.
Anyway, I won't be able to record a show until next month, November. My laptop died last week and yesterday I found out that the hard drive needs to be replaced. So, this is bad news for you and I'm sorry that I won't be talking to you until sometime in November.
I'll give you updates when possible, but it's been hard to find the Internet. I'm at the very nice Apple store in London using free Internet right now. By about Friday we won't have Internet again because we'll be going to Stonehenge. Do you know about this place?
It's the place with the big rocks arranged in a circle. I'm excited about seeing it, so hopefully the weather will be good that day.
We took the ferry from France and it only took an hour and 20 minutes. It was quite nice, actually. But we miss France and especially Paris. It was beautiful and we had such a great time. It was hard trying to see everything because there were so many things to see.
We saw the Louvre, Orsay, and Rodin museums. We also went to the Georges Pompidou Centre and saw some great modern art. They also had a lot of Picasso pieces there.
And of course we saw the Eiffel Tower and took the elevator to the top. It was a sunny day, so it was perfect. We were also able to see the sunset from the top, so it was fantastic. After, we had wine and cheese at a restaurant across from the Eiffel Tower, so we had a great view of the Eiffel Tower with all it's lights on.
Anyway, it's about time to get going. We want to see Buckingham Palace and a few other places today.
Take care and I will talk to you again soon.

Fri, 5 October 2007 Hello everyone! I'm currently in Paris enjoying the many sights and sounds of this great place. Unfortunately, my computer is broken and it's also been really difficult finding somewhere to use the Internet. So, I'll try and keep you updated as to what I'm doing, but I won't be able to record a new podcast for a while. I hope to get my computer fixed when I get to the UK, but we'll see what happens. So far, it's been a great trip. I've seen Western Germany and now parts of France. If you remember, I'm doing this whole trip from an RV (recreational vehicle). It's been comfortable and a lot of fun driving everywhere. It was especially fun driving to Paris. The nicest thing is that I have a lot of freedom to do whatever I want. Today, we saw a Korean tour group and the tour guide was yelling at the tour group to hurry up. But we were just enjoying sitting on the steps of the Basilique de Sacre Coeur in Montmartre and listening to a man playing the harp. It was beautiful and unforgettable. Anyway, I'll try to keep you up to date with my stories and hopefully I'll be able to do a podcast real soon. Thanks for your patience and support. So, the next show will hopefully come out on October 1...from Europe. Sorry for the inconvenience. Thanks for the support. Carl Category: general -- posted at: 2:32 PM Comments[5] |
